Tom Elsemore, Outside Director

Tom Elsemore serves as an Outside Director with 2020 Environmental Group, where he supports our Clients throughout the M&A process through financial analysis, business valuation, and transaction advisory engagements. He brings both executive leadership and firsthand transaction experience to clients navigating ownership transitions, strategic acquisitions, and business sales.

Tom has more than 30 years of business management and operational leadership experience, including 25 years in the environmental industry. His unique perspective as both a company owner and transaction participant enables him to provide practical guidance to clients evaluating strategic alternatives, preparing businesses for sale, assessing acquisitions, and navigating the complexities of due diligence and transaction execution.

Prior to joining 2020 Environmental Group, Tom was the Managing Partner and CFO/COO of Environmental Partners, Inc. (EPI), where he was responsible for the company's day-to-day leadership and overall management. His responsibilities included financial management, business operations, strategic planning, risk management, and human resources, helping drive the company's growth and long-term success.

In 2019, Tom worked with 2020 Environmental Group to successfully complete the sale of EPI, providing him with firsthand insight into the M&A process from the seller's perspective. Following the transaction, he served for five years as a Principal and Office Practice Leader with TRC, helping lead the successful integration of EPI's business operations while supporting continued growth and operational excellence.

Tom is based outside Seattle, Washington, where he lives with his wife and enjoys spending time with their three adult children. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, golf, kayaking, and spending as much time as possible on their property on Whidbey Island.
